This video shows Active Region 1429 for 36 hours on 2012-03-30/31 It is made with data from SDO's AIA 171Å channel. The 171Å filter shows coronal loops and arcs extending off of the Sun where plasma is moving along magnetic field lines. Most of what you see in this video is activity in the corona and upper transition region.
